During my stay in Linz at "Eleonore" I played quite a bit with strings in the flowing water of Donau. Turned out these strings produced quite amazing sounds as they start to vibrate as the water flows past them.
I have explored the concept a bit since, but much more experiments would be able to open this up a lot.
On October 2020 I did a workshop for Faculty of Senses getting a group of experimental instrument builders to play with the string.
The very first experiments with the singing strings happened in Donau at a residency in Linz. The experiment was really about doing steerable water kites, but when I sensed the vibrating strings, I started exploring that too.
Did another experiment with this at Stigbordene in Copenhagen later on.
